A local-first answering system you are building for one laptop and one phone. The laptop keeps the library, the voice, and the trainer. The phone, a Unihertz Tank 3 Pro, carries the same app offline and keeps learning when the screen is off.
Ubuntu on a Dell Latitude E6430, about 7.8 GB of RAM. A FastAPI engine on port 8000, Kokoro for speech, Artemis for the wake word, and the Aegion window. The older GTK desktop is still there as ./aegis --classic.
Android 15, 16 GB of RAM, a 1080×2460 screen. Aegion answers from a SQLite pack, saved tutorials, the shared archive, and the web. Shield of Zeus trains in the background. Signal Walk, Markets, and a separate system keyboard sit beside it.
Read the phone./aegis while Cursor or a browser is open. ./aegis-lite is the safe terminal client.Aegis answers questions from what it already holds before it reaches for the network. You can teach it, and a correction beats everything else. When the local pages are thin it reads the web, pulls the best sentences, and only then may ask a small local model (Ollama, qwen2.5:1.5b) to phrase the answer. Numbers the sources do not contain are rejected.
The same idea now lives in one Kivy app called Aegion (mobile/main.py, package online.mindflux.aegis). On this laptop ./aegis opens that app and attaches the backend, Kokoro, and Artemis. On the Tank it is the APK. An iPhone build path exists for a Mac with Xcode. Artemis is only the wake word now, not the name of the app.
Around that core, the last three weeks added a curiosity engine that studies subjects by itself, one shared SQLite archive at mindflux.online, Signal Walk inside the same APK, a Linux-only Guardian scan, a Markets page, a laptop on-screen keyboard, an Android system keyboard, and a proxy that follows the phone when the phone is the laptop’s internet. By the evening of 4 October the laptop keyboard also dictates with the offline Vosk model, stays in front of the top search, and remembers email addresses you type. The phone keyboard, version 1.7, does the same for email. Firefox blocks popups and ads. The free learner is running inside the login service.
Upload the overview folder into the account’s web root, for example public_html/overview. Open index.html. Chief hosts the files the same way it hosts public_html/UIMFT. Python on that archive runs in the browser through Pyodide, not as a server process. Run Python uses that same loader, version 0.26.1. Nothing here is the fact archive in server/, and nothing here is the keyboard GIF catalog. Those stay separate.
This copy is for reading. It includes the bug log, the handoff, the open items, the transfer notes, the commit list, and the backup names. A 14 September route dump (DISCOVERY_REPORT.md, 920 KB) is included as a historical snapshot and is marked as such. Secrets, .env, pairing codes, and the Guardian hash list are not in this folder.
